K&M are pleased to announce that as of 5th August 2011, we have successfully achieved Achilles Building Confidence Programme Accreditation.

Achilles' rigorous procedure includes a broad range of strict criteria pertinent to Health, Safety and Environmental practices which are fully assessed and audited in order to provide customers with benchmarked performance indicators.

This was achieved by the completion of an extensive online PQQ and a detailed two day audit process of all company policies and procedures.

BuildingConfidence is recognised as the standard for supplier excellence within the industry. Major contractors use the service to evaluate their supply chains, drive up performance and forge long lasting relationships with key suppliers

Our accreditation on this programme further reaffirms our dedication to providing a quality service to all our customers, in conjunction with our ongoing commitment to being a safe, socially and environmentally responsible service provider.

K&M DECORATING SCHOOL GAINS NATIONAL ACCREDITATION

Wednesday, 3 August 2011

In under a year since first opening its doors to painting and decorating apprentices, the Islington-based K&M Apprentice School has received full accreditation from the Construction Awards Alliance (CAA), joining the ranks of over 800 nationwide training centres of excellences.

“I started our school last October to give our apprentices real hands-on experience in painting and decorating and the school’s fully-fitted mock up two bedroom flat quickly proved to be the perfect training environment for them to learn and perfect their skills,”

“However, up until now, they have still had to spend a day a week at college to fulfill all their NVQ qualification requirements. This is no longer the case. We are recognised as a college so we can take complete responsibility for our three year apprenticeship course, as well as providing the added benefit of a full-time job at the end of the training for all the youngsters involved.”

“I am extremely proud of what we have achieved in the last 11 months and this accreditation will ensure we can continue to help even more youngsters get their feet on the employment ladder,” says Kevin.
